LUCIEN LE MOINE 2017 BY WINE SPECTATOR

LUCIEN LE MOINE Corton-Charlemagne 2017
Score: 96
Insider Issue: May 13, 2020
Tasting Note
This intense version grabs your attention, with effusive aromas of lemon curd, pine forest, wood smoke and stone. There is something wild about this, yet at the core lies sweet, ripe peach and apple fruit, shaded by lanolin and peat notes. Bracing acidity keeps all the elements in line, driving the long finish. Best from 2022 through 2032.  — BS

Tasting Note
Complex lime blossom, lemon oil, clove and white peach aromas and flavors are the hallmarks of this fragrant and intense white. Dense and tightly wound, with a creamy texture and plenty in reserve. Terrific length. Best from 2022 through 2032.  — BS

LUCIEN LE MOINE Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 2017
Score: 94

Tasting Note
This white combines toasty, pastry and baking spice aromas and flavors, with a creamy texture. Peach, apple pie, lemon and subtle stone notes are corralled by the vibrant acidity, extending the citrus-infused finish. Excellent balance. Best from 2021 through 2029.  — BS

LUCIEN LE MOINE Chassagne-Montrachet Les Grandes Ruchottes 2017
Score: 94
Insider Issue: Apr 29, 2020
Tasting Note
This bold version offers a vibrant structure, saturated with butterscotch, lanolin, vanilla, apricot and lemon aromas and flavors. Almost too much of a good thing, until the finish subsides, leaving a clean aftertaste of lemon and mineral. Best from 2022 through 2032. — BS
